Description
FEP FILMS
Fluorinated thermoplastic with excellent thermal and electrical characteristics and excellent chemical inertia. The excellent optical properties and resistance to weathering and ultraviolet degradation have led to use of the FEP film in such varied applications as environmental growth chambers and solar energy collectors. The nonstick properties of the FEP films have found use in conveyor belts, process roll covers and as mould release films. Widely used in industry for its resistance to corrosion up to temperatures of 200°C. Used as a flaking film, it is used as a release agent in composite moulding, excellent as a welding material between fluorinated resins. Yet, the most common applications are:
- Welding films for PTFE coated fabric.
- Lining and coating in the chemical industries.
- Rapid prototyping.
